Hi everyone.

I need to do at least 430 hours in order for me to apply for a space at uni for socila work course. How many days/and or hours I have to do a week to be able to apply.

Help.

Thanks

Hi that prob averages out about 10 hours a week part time if you did it over the year, or if you did it full time (35hrs) a week could do it in about 3 or 4 months.

It all depends on how much spare time you have. how many uni's are you applying 2?

Hi

I was asking because some uni's dont put a stipulation of the number of hours you have to do. Eg some may say just a years experience...or relevant life experience. For example when doing my access course some people in my class only did an hours volunatary work a week, for 1 yr and this was enough to get them into uni.

You dont have to wait untill janurary to start looking for volunteer work, you could start now if you wanted. check out www.do-it.org.uk.

although you are applying in Janurary, they wont expect you to have done the hours untill you are due to start the course in Sept 2010. (well that was my understanding, and what happened to me).

wish you all the best x
