Hi you can enroll to do it at your local Learn Direct.

http://www.learndirect.co.uk/

I am not sure if you can do it online but you can get free interactive tuition from the link below.

http://alison.com/

Hope this helps

In terms of how many months it takes, i would say it depends on the individual and how much IT knowledge you have already, and how many hours you willing to work on the units.

I did mine in about 2/3 months, doing a unit appox every 1/2 weeks. It can get very boring and takes alot of time to go through the units, but bare with it it all does comes to an end eventually lol

My advice for anyone wanting to do ECDL do it sooner rather than later...uni at the mo is very hectic, with essays due in, placement going on, plus family life (not that i have a life right now lol).

Im glad i did mine over the summer holz, because right now, i just dont know where i would find the time for it!

Good luck with it xxx

If you want to get ahead with your ECDL before you start, you can go to a website called ALISON. This is a free site which enables you to work through the ECDL modules at your own pace. I did my entire ECDL at home using Alison and at the end of each module I went into college to do the tests. I personally found this site invaluable as it enabled me to set my own pace and dip in and out when I had the time. Might not suit those who feel they are going to need a lot of support though.
